The Georgian Terrace, which once hosted the premier party for the movie Gone With the Wind, was saved from demolition and refurbished in 2001 to reclaim its position as one of Atlanta's premier hotels. - Exit the airport by following the signs for I-85 N.
- Follow I-85 N to downtown Atlanta.
- Take Exit 249D/Pine St/Peachtree St.
- On the exit ramp, stay left and go to the traffic light at Peachtree St.
- Turn left onto Peachtree St and proceed 3 blocks to the intersection of Peachtree St and Ponce de Leon Ave.
- Hotel is on right, directly across the street from the Fox Theatre.
- Continue through the traffic light to the hotel motor lobby and parking garage less than 1 block on right.
Getting there: MARTA light rail, taxis, airport shuttles, and rental cars are all viable modes of transportation from the airport to the hotel. MARTA is a very popular option. For under $5, guests can ride MARTA directly from the airport to the North Ave station, which is one block from the hotel. One-way airport shuttle fares start from $5–$15, and taxi fares start from $26–$35. Fees subject to change without notice. Many guests prefer to rent cars. Getting around: Many attractions are within several blocks of The Georgian Terrace Hotel, so walking is a popular way of getting around Midtown. Hotel staff can call taxis, which are also convenient. One block away is the North Ave MARTA station, where guests can catch trains that connect with much of Atlanta, including downtown and Lenox/Buckhead. Guests who anticipate extensive local travel often rent cars, despite Atlanta's notorious rush-hour traffic.
