Getting there: Taxis from the airport to the Hilton Desoto cost $16-$25. Car rentals are available online.
Getting around: The historic district is laid out in a series of squares that are easy to navigate by pedestrians. Complimentary water taxis at the Riverfront take hotel guests to Hutchinson Island (room key required). The CAT provides public transportation throughout the city for less than $2, and taxis are available. Metered parking is available but may be difficult to find. For travel outside historic Savannah, a car is recommended.
